The second Tradegood Buyer Summit was successfully held at Futian Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen on September 23. Some 150 guests, including global buyers, suppliers, industry association representatives, and industry experts attended the event. Attendees not only gained useful insights into the latest trends of the supply chain, but also got an opportunity to take part in the buyer-supplier matching session. Successful deals were struck on site and both buyers and suppliers thought highly of the new matching session.
The Summit started off with an opening address from Mr. David Ho, Director of Tradegood, followed by the presentation of “Win-Win-Win: Optimize Supply Chain Management” by Mr. Arnold Zhu, China Head of Trade Product Management, Bank of America. Ms. Helen Huang, Program Manager of Tradegood, then gave a speech on “Breakthrough Obstacles and Head towards an International Market”. Lastly, Ms. Michelle Mao, Director, Sourcing/Development & Quality Assurance of the Thule Group, shared with the audience how Asian suppliers can be the right match to overseas buyers.
After the informative presentations and business luncheon, suppliers took turns to meet with buyers pre-arranged by our team of sourcing experts. “It was a wonderful experience,” as one buyer put it, “We meet high-quality suppliers and some have even presented us with new ideas and products for our future business ventures.” Some buyers and suppliers were able to close their contracts on site. In some other cases, further discussions and meetings were arranged. Many suppliers expressed their gratitude to Tradegood for giving them the opportunity to meet with global buyers face-to-face. Tradegood will continue to bridge new businesses between buyer and supplier sides. To this end, more matching events will be organized and better sourcing and supplier management functionalities will be offered on the Tradegood website.
