Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongqiao

1 PM - 5 PM

The Tradegood Buyer summit came to Shanghai again on May 22, 2014. This time more than 100 representatives from international buyers and suppliers were invited to the Hongqiao Marriot Hotel, including several buyers who were attending the Shanghai Buyer Summit for the first time.

At the opening of the summit, Mr. Gavin Hong, Manager of Tradegood Supply Chain Analysis Center, introduced the background and sourcing requirements of the attending international buyers. Following that, Mr. Daton Lee, representative of visiting buyer Pepe Jeans, delivered a speech introducing his company and its product-development work in China. Through Mr. Daton’s introduction, attending suppliers were able to pick up more detailed information about Pepe Jeans and their sourcing requirements.

The most important part of the summit—the business-matching session—started after Gavin’s introduction. Supplier representatives presented their samples and discussed purchasing requirements with the international buyers as well as their own production capabilities and relevant qualifications. While the matching session was in progress, Ms. Ada Liu, Account Manager of Intertek CDMS, delivered a speech on “Chinese Standardization System and Standard Introduction”.  Ada’s informative presentation won unanimous praise from attending suppliers.

Meanwhile, this summit saw the reappearance of the Photo Studio, where we arrange photo shooting by professional models and photographers to enhance customers’product images. This resulted in considerable praise from our supplier members for providing them with vivid and attractive product photos. We once again staged the Wechat activity at this summit to provide a communication platform for both buyer and supplier members, who can receive the latest market, industry and product information through this platform.

At this Buyer Summit,Tradegood also held a Mini Expo with the theme of “Clothing Accessories”. Attending buyers showed off their hot products on site, leading to active discussions with attending buyers and suppliers. The Mini Expo provides an excellent opportunity for suppliers to promote their branding and products.

The curtain fell on the Shanghai Buyer Summit as the last supplier finished matching with a buyer. Tradegood is dedicated to connecting global buyers and suppliers by proactively improving our service and content with the goal of helping you seize new opportunities in global trade and creating real added value for you.
