From Nov 18 to 22, 2013, Tradegood hosted a group of supplier members on a mission to one of the world’s great fashion cities—London, UK. This five-day business investigation gave delegates an excellent opportunity to communicate with global industry peers and broaden their business horizons.

This UK Fashion Tourbroke new ground, with several “firsts”:first overseas training, first overseas buyer summit and first overseas sample-shopping according to suppliers’ requirements. These events were organizedto let more people learn how the Tradegood platform helps customers explore overseas markets and helpsbuyers to find trusted and verified suppliers. On this occasion, Tradegood supplier members participated inthe three-day Trendstop training courseled by Ms. Jaana Jätyri, Founder and CEO of Trendstop, and Mr. John Noi, Marketing Director of Trendstop. Duringthe courses, they shared theirkeen insights intobrand building and marketing, and also advised on the key fashion trends for 2014– 2015.

Attending the London Buyer Summitwere the sourcing merchandisers from many renowned UK brands. The suppliershad made excellentpreparation for the summit in order to demonstratetheir capabilities to the buyers. Tradegood also providedits proprietaryvideo-matching system to those suppliers who were unable to attend in person. Both suppliers and buyers conducted effective business negotiations and achieved good resultsat the summit.

In the workshop, Mr. David Ho, Vice President, TradegoodNortheast Asia, welcomed all guests and made a speech entitled ‘Tradegood – The Game Changer in Sourcing’ by way of introducing this B2B sourcing platform as well as its exceptional resources and unique advantages. Participants expressed a keen interest in his remarks and, during the Q&A session, in response to a buyer’s question about the Tradegood/Trendstop training, a number of Chinese suppliers went on stage to talk about their experiences and feelings about the course. The result was an interesting interaction between responsible buyers and trusted suppliers.During the buffet lunch, the Chinese suppliers networked actively with the UK buyers, introducing China’s export industry and its production capabilities.

Besides the training and interaction, Tradegood also arranged some practical activities for the delegates. Professionals from Trendstop accompanied Tradegood supplier members onvisits to high-end fashion brands in London and to purchase samples. They also provided personal consultations to the supplier members to help them inunderstanding the concepts of designing and selling. The funand functional experience was veryfruitful for the delegates.

Although the UK Fashion Tour lasted just five days, it covered the areas of training, investigation, experience and business matching to constitute a very intense and meaningful trip, which met with the full approval of the delegates. Mr. Zhou, GM of Hangzhou In-Choice Import And Export Co., Ltd said: “The UK Fashion Tour is very innovative for suppliers and lays a good foundation for us to take up future challenges.”Shaoxing Mutual-Win Apparel Co., Ltd designer Susanna fully agreed about the added value Tradegood delivers to supplier members, and commented: “The UK Fashion Tour offered a great opportunity for us to go deep into the sourcing market and get in-depth knowledge of buyers’ requirements. It is really helpful for the business when we can meet buyers on their home ground and talk to them face to face.”

As planned for 2014, Tradegood will organize more overseas events to help all oursupplier members expand their markets and improve their performance.
